Hey loves hope you are doing good. We are half way through the week and I think the weeks are going so fast! they need to slow down I got a lot of things to achieve. I am so thankful to have lived for another year not everyone makes it to the age I am at and I hope I am here for many more years to come.
So to celebrate my birthday I though I would share my everyday make up look. I don’t wear makeup everyday but when I do this is the look I go for and the products I use. I always keep it natural as its an everyday look and because I am able to get it done in around 10/15 minutes ready for school runs so its really a simple look.
Products I use
I use a primer just to give me a smooth surface to work with and to avoid my face being shiny or look oily. I don’t use foundation on this look so instead I use concealer for my under eye section just to lighten it up a bit. I mix two shades (the two brown shades) because I don’t want it to be too dramatic, then I use the brown eye shadow for contouring. I use the eye shadow for contouring because I could not find the right shade for my skin tone and I thought let me try this and it worked!. I then use the metallic bronze to get the glow on my upper cheeks. For my lips I usually use a lip balm I don’t really like lip glosses because they are not smooth so some times I use lip stick and today I used a natural lip liner on top of my lip balm.
I then do my eyes and eyebrows then finish off with the pressed powder for the whole face which helps blend everything smoothly. So as you see it’s not much or hard at all.

Hey loves hope you are well. I wore this makeup look in one day, the first was during the day when I went shopping with the kids and didn’t feel like I needed a lot of makeup on and the other I feel is a nighttime look with the dark lipstick which I love!

NIGHTTIME MAKEUP LOOK
Hey loves hope you are all well. So last week Tuesday 11th I graduated from university with Honours!!!! like what???!!!, I never thought I would get there or that I could do it. I had to redo 3 assignments!! in about a month!. So when I found out I had to redo 3 assignments which included my dissertation, I honestly could not take it anymore, my energy levels were so low as well as my motivation levels. I cried then I got angry not at me but at the tutors because they checked the assignment prier to hand in date and they gave them the go ahead not to fail I was just gobsmacked. I gave and said I don’t care anymore I do not want to graduate…….. the usual reactions when you have given all you can and its still not good enough.
But after talking to my family and friends and sleeping on it I decided to push myself and get my degree because if I didn’t I would have wasted 3 years for what? and I had to show my babies that no matter the obstacles you can still do it. So I put my head down and got them done and handed in before my family holiday to Uganda. When we came back it was back to reality to find out the results of my resits. I passed all of them being that they are resits they are capped at 40% but with my dissertation they gave me 42%! I could not believe it, after ll the changes they told me to make (which I made for the resit) they still gave me 42% which left me so scared and stressed because it had to go to moderation for the final marks. So I prayed and left it in Gods hands.
Thankfully they did not put my marks down ( if they did I would have failed again and had to redo a whole year!!) and I graduated with a third Honours!!!!
I am still processing it how I done it and got through it. Being a mother it was really difficult finding time to study and do the assignments but I was able to organise myself and with the help of my hubby we got there. Its been crazy and manic but I am glad I did it and on the way I made some lovely friends who together helped each other through it all.
Moral of the story, if you work hard enough for something, you will almost certainly get there.

Baby christening makeup look
So being that we were going to a hot climate country you would think I would not take my whole makeup collection but guess what? I took majority of it lol ( you know how we girls are 😉 ) I took it all thinking just in case I need to glam up for a night out which I did when we went out but I also wanted and though I would put some makeup on during the day but the heat in Uganda would not let me!. It was really too hot to put makeup on and the fact that the dust would just stick to you it was just a no no for glaming, so I opted for the natural look. So for the holiday period I opted for just a natural look which was just the eyebrows done, lipstick, blemish balm and blush and i was good to go.
I also get heat rash the minute the sum comes out so going to Uganda had me worried thinking what was going to happen so I tried my best to avoid being in direct sun light and to not go out when it was really hot which was from around morning time till around 3. I also took my 30+ sunscreen as well big sun summer hats for the whole family. Using these two things helped as I did not get affected as bad as I thought I was going to be. Moral of the story be ready for anything.
